Renowned folk singer to play benefit

FRANKLIN GROVE – Tickets are on sale for a dinner benefit by Midwest folk singer Mark Dvorak that begins at 6 p.m. July 21 at the Franklin Creek Grist Mill.

According to the news release announcing the concert, over the past two decades, Dvorak has forged a reputation as a dedicated troubadour and true disciple of American folk music. He has traveled to 36 states and to Europe with his songs, stories, guitar and five-string banjo.

The Chicago-area musician “has created a nationwide reputation for singing the folk songs of the American people. Audiences delight in his nimble guitar and banjo playing, his broad repertoire, his obvious affection for this music and the charisma radiating from his delightful and warm personality.”
