PITTSVILLE, Wis. – Robert W. Miller, 82, of Pittsville, Wis., died Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, Wis.
He was a payroll auditor for Western Casualty and Surety Co. before retiring.
Bob was born Feb. 24, 1930, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Warren and Margaret (Hutt) Miller. He married Marilyn J. Pulliam on Feb. 26, 1949, in San Diego, while he was stationed with the United State’s Navy.
Bob was honorably discharged from the Navy on Feb. 2, 1956.
He is survived by his wife; children, Susan D. (Mike) Sutor of Middleton, Wis. and Robert H. (Catheryn) Miller of Madison, Wis.; two brothers, Stuart A. (Marian) Miller of Severna Park, Md. and John M. (Lois) Miller of Hilton Head, S.C.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond Miller.
Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m., and his funeral at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Crossroad Church (Evangelical Free Church) in Pittsville with the Rev. Bruce Naugle officiating. Military rites will be conducted at the church by the American Legion Post 153 of Pittsville, followed by burial in Fort Scott National Cemetery in Kansas.
