Labor of love: Woman competed in 2011 Reagan Run, then gave birth
For Alex Hofmann, the decision to be among the 1,476 runners and walkers in the 2011 Reagan Run was an easy one.
Of course she would be. She runs 3 to 5 miles about three times a week, so the chance to be among her fellow runners in a race she described as the area’s premier 5K was an opportunity she wasn’t going to pass up.
She wasn’t going to let the fact she was 9 months pregnant with her first child stop her.
