Fisherman's body found near Oregon dam
OREGON – An autopsy will be conducted today on a Chicago fisherman whose body was found Thursday morning in the Rock River, about 50 feet south of the dam at Oregon Park East.
Reyes Perez, 37, was fishing early Wednesday with family and friends off a small rock island above the dam, according to police.
According to his friends, Perez, who was wearing high waders, waded out to fish in a little deeper water and was swept downstream about 30 feet, surfaced, then went under again, Oregon Police Chief Darin DeHaan said.
