Hearing reset in stabbing case
OREGON – A status hearing for a man accused of stabbing a Leaf River couple a year ago today now will be held July 23.
“I am still seeking an expert,” defense attorney Eric Morrow told Ogle County Judge Michael Mallon on Monday.
Michael W. Mitchell, 28, of Leaf River, is accused of breaking into the home of David and Denise Zellers last July 3 and repeatedly stabbing them.
