Be accepting; treat people with respect
In response to Mr. Harrison’s letter on June 23, I ask, How old are you? How do you know there weren’t gays in the Lord’s time?
Look in the mirror. Aren’t we all different and always stereotyped for one reason or another? How many gays were married to the opposite sex for a time, or still are, to hide? Bet if you know some gay people, you would change your mind; maybe not. Aren’t some of us trying to push our beliefs off on them because those beliefs are different from theirs?
I was raised a very strict Catholic and spent 5 years at St. Vincent’s home in Freeport. Anyway, I used birth control; the church was not feeding and clothing my children and putting a roof over their heads. My husband and I did.
