Forum hears of progressive achievements
Glenn Truesdell spoke about the progressive history of the United States on June 21 at the Rock Falls Public Library to three dozen Rock River Open Forum participants.
Thomas Hobbes (1588-1679) stated that men are brutish and self-seeking, and a government is needed to set rules for the general welfare. Jesus was a progressive liberal. We are urged to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, be concerned about the poor and needy, and forgive ourselves and others repeatedly.
