CHADWICK – Donna G. Hayen, 79, of rural Chadwick, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at her home.

Donna was born April 16, 1933, in Bentley, N.D., a daughter of Ray and Grace (Gaines) Burdell. She married Charles H. Hayen on April 25, 1953, in Milledgeville. He passed away Jan. 29, 2009. Donna was the office manager for Hayen Electric in Milledgeville for 20 years until her recent retirement in 2010. She and Chuck farmed in the Milledgeville/Chadwick area for several years, and she also worked at the former Clough Drugstores in Milledgeville.

Donna enjoyed going dancing with her husband on the weekends. In her free time, she made scarves for her family and friends and loved to sew and knit.
