Van hits pole, knocks out power to 1,400
Dianna L. Sisson, 59, was eastbound on Lynn Boulevard between 14th and 15th avenues just before 2 p.m. when she hit the ComEd pole, which fell on a nearby fence, Sgt. Todd Messer said. The van was totaled, but Sisson was able to get out before police arrived. She was treated at CGH Medical Center and released, Messer said. Power was to be restored by 8 p.m., ComEd said. No citations were issued; the investigation continues, Messer said.
