Splash pad closer to reality with funding from state
ASHTON – The state has made a splash in Ashton, announcing over the weekend that it would give $117,500 to the village.
The money would go toward a proposed splash pad, which is an area for water play that has no standing water.
Under the plan, the village would build the pad and restrooms near AFC High School. Landscaping will include native grasses.
