Secularist offers response to believer
Mr. Christopher Harrison’s letter, “Secularists are intolerant of believers,” printed June 23, is a letter that is filled with half-truths and misinformation that I, as a secularist, would like to clear up.
First of all, secularism is not a religion of any sort. It is simply the principle of the separation of church and state on which our Founding Fathers relied so proudly.
Second, secularism is not a nonbelief in any god, whether it be Christian, Muslim or the flying spaghetti monster. It is a matter of logical reasoning without religious bias.
