MLB: White Sox trade Lillibridge, Stewart for Youkilis
That revolving door at third base for the White Sox appears to have been stopped with Sunday’s acquisition of veteran Kevin Youkilis from the Red Sox.
Youkilis, 33, is expected to join the White Sox on Monday in Minnesota and go right into the lineup after being acquired for utility man Brent Lillibridge and pitcher Zach Stewart, who was demoted to Triple-A Charlotte last week.
The Red Sox will pay $5.6 million of the $8.1 million Youkilis is owed this season.
