David R. ‘Digger’ Powell

POLO – David R. “Digger” Powell, 73, of Polo, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

David was born Oct. 4, 1938, the son of Clifford and Doris (Neiger) Powell. He was a brickmason for 40 years before retiring in 2004.

Survivors include three daughters, Amy (Charlie) Powell of Chana, and Kim (Matt) Finnicum and June (Mike) Perrine, both of Sterling; two sons, Jeff Powell of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Mick (Peggy) Powell of Oro Valley, Ariz.; one brother, Mike Powell of Polo; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
