$20,000 worth of damage caused by lightning
District will get $10,000 for Aug. 18 concert
DIXON – Damage caused by lightning strikes Saturday evening could cost up to $20,000 to repair, the park district executive director said.
The Dixon Park District’s insurance should cover nearly all of the cost, Executive Director Deb Carey said. The district’s deductible is $1,000.
The lightning storm that hit the Dixon area Saturday evening caused damage to the splash pad at Vaile Park, a bank of lights at Reynolds Field and other items at the park district’s Third Street maintenance shop,
