Robert R. ‘Bob’ Johnston

AMARILLO, Texas – Robert R. “Bob” Johnston, 73, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Rock Falls, died Thursday, June 14, 2012. He owned West Hills Texaco in Amarillo for 40 years.

He was born Aug. 3, 1938, in Lawndale, to Harold S. and Evelyn D. (Langhoff) Johnston.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Endel Johnston of Amarillo; children, Janet Johnston, Joseph (Lisa) Johnston and Jerald (Jocelyn) Johnston, all of Illinois; grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (Barbara) Johnston of California and Kenneth (Ruth) Johnston of Illinois; sister, Marilyn Franks Nusbum of Illinois; half-sisters, Linda (Joseph) Floto of Missouri and Connie (Tim) Kuehl of Illinois; stepchildren, Sharon (Ramon) Pellar, Deborah (Dan) Hogan and Jeffrey Stees, all of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
