Area job applicants lack the basics, business owners say
DIXON – If a job candidate pulls out a cellphone to text or take a call during an interview, that’s it, one local businesswoman told educators Wednesday.
Kim Gaffey, owner of Gaffey Home Nursing and Hospice, was one of three local professionals who told educators at the 21st Century Learning Summit that some local job applicants lack the skills employers need.
And they weren’t talking how to weld or run a forklift.
