Lee County Board debates labor negotiations
Member wants professional negotiator
DIXON – At least one Lee County Board member says the county should get a professional labor negotiator when it hammers out five labor contracts later this year.
Member Vern Gottel, R-rural Sterling, who joined the board 9 months ago, faced resistance to his suggestion at Tuesday’s board meeting.
Member John Ferrone, R-Dixon, pointed out that the county has long retained the services of an attorney from the state’s attorneys appellate prosecutor’s office.
