STERLING – Alvin Fitzpatrick, 75, of Sterling, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. in Sterling for 30 years, retiring in 1987.

Alvin was born June 17, 1937, in Pierre, S.D., the son of Martin and Alta (Dixon) Fitzpatrick. He served in the Army from 1955 to 1958.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Conley and Julie Fitzpatrick, both of Dixon; one sister, Harriet (Benjamin) Taylor of Dixon; one brother, Kenneth D. Miller of Florida; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
