Dixon mayor: City should stick with Wipfli for audits
Council to discuss pending audit at tonight’s meeting
DIXON – With a lawsuit filed against the auditing firm that’s checked the books the last 6 years, the Dixon City Council will discuss what to do about this year’s audit at tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting.
The three choices, Mayor Jim Burke said, are to go out for bid, interview other auditing firms or stay with Wipfli, the accounting firm the city hired following the arrest of its comptroller to restate the last 6 years worth of audits.
The last option is the one the mayor thinks is best.
