Stillman Valley gardeners get dirty
STILLMAN VALLEY – The Meridan School District offered, “Spark Up Your Summer,” as part of a Cardinal Flight to Fitness grant in June.
The theme of the first week was “Garden to Table.” Phil Bratta, Larry Ermey, Denise Swartz and Jamee Wolf, University of Illinois Extension Ogle County staff and Master Gardeners, and volunteer, Kaylie Wetzel, offered programs throughout the week.
Stillman Valley High School students learned gardening basics and plants in four raised garden beds at the school.
