Medicaid cuts to hurt Whiteside County clinic
10 percent of Lee County residents receive benefits
ROCK FALLS – Most of the Sauk Valley is in line with the rest of the state in percentages of people on Medicaid – about 20 percent.
Lee County is the big exception, with 10 percent benefiting.
Thursday, Gov. Pat Quinn signed into law a $1.7 billion spending cut for Medicaid. That means about 26,000 working parents will lose their benefits. No children will be affected.
