How affordable health care costs can be achieved
People postpone doctor visits and prescription medications because of the high cost of medical services. In today’s economy, the people have to weigh carefully each expenditure.
The high cost of medical services is due mainly to government interference, including regulations and paperwork. Medicare and Medicaid are major causes of the very high costs of medical services. The problem of government interference is that the people are taught that they are entitled to something for nothing.
Health insurance is another cause of the high prices in the medical services. Having health insurance doesn’t guarantee health care. Companies that sell health insurance are not charitable institutions. Exclusions, deductibles and co-payments lessen the worth of the insurance. If everyone had health insurance, the costs of all medical services would rise enormously.
