Congressman should take care of business
In response to Mr. Frankville’s letter on June 1 regarding the representative (Bobby Schilling) who attended the Honor Flight welcome home, veterans need to stop and think who he’s representing.
There is only one congressman from the area who should be in Washington taking care of business. Your state representative was in Springfield, supposedly to get things done, so they could go home and not cost this state overtime for being there after May 31.
How about they donate their pay, either to a charitable organization or, better yet, back to the state’s general fund? Seems like the only time that can be done (ha, ha) is in an election year.
