ROCK FALLS – Kora Magill remembers watching, helplessly, as her 1-pound, 7-ounce preemie fought for his life under a sea of tubes and cords.
Now a healthy, roly-poly toddler, Brohnx Jordan rarely stops smiling.
His mommy risked her life to see that smile. Doctors advised Kora – a Rock Falls native who battled spreading thyroid cancer – to abort and undergo radiation. The 19-year-old refused.
