Milwaukee Mile debuts: Museums get together to attract lakefront visitors
MILWAUKEE – The Magnificent Mile in Chicago has some competition. Now there’s the Milwaukee Museum Mile, a group of five museums working together. They even have a view of Lake Michigan.
That, however, is where the similarity ends. The museums provide a unique look at Milwaukee life from different perspectives. The Mile debuted in May.
The Jewish Museum Milwaukee is at 1360 N. Prospect Ave. It concentrates on preserving the history of the Jewish people in the southeastern corner of the state. The history is presented in photographs, artifacts and personal stories.
