Takes issue with writer’s ‘faulty logic’
After reading John Eades’ letter on June 9 promoting gay marriage and bashing religion, I must take issue with the faulty logic and information he presents.
First, religions don’t “define marriage as they please.” In the one true religion, Christianity, marriage is defined by the one true God as a union between man and woman. Period. The only reason marriage is a “civil contract governed by state regulation” is because the “state” decided to regulate it and profit from it. This is not “religion sticking its nose in where it doesn’t belong.”
Gay marriage will not “clearly prove correct” when those involved face God in judgment, as homosexuality is an abomination to him.
