Remove Rita’s horses from Beloit ranch

Exactly who is looking out for the best interests of the tax-paying citizens of Dixon?

The judge in the Rita Crundwell case has allowed Percott Co. to enter the civil suit to recoup more than $150,000 in costs associated with the care of 60 of Crundwell’s horses at its Meri-J Ranch in Beloit.

Seriously? Are you kidding me? The Meri-J Ranch is managed by Crundwell’s longtime boyfriend, Jim McKillips. Are you trying to tell me that Jim McKillips, manager for the Meri-J Ranch owned by Percott Co., didn’t get to see, use or spend any of the money Rita took from the citizens of Dixon? He didn’t know where her money was coming from? He didn’t profit from boarding her horses?
