Shabbona bank among 4 closed by regulators
WASHINGTON (AP) – Federal regulators have seized 4 banks, one each in Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina and Oklahoma, bringing to 28 the number of U.S. banks that have failed so far this year.
Among them was Farmers and Traders State Bank in Shabbona.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said Friday that it also closed Waccamaw Bank in Whiteville, N.C.; Carolina Federal Savings Bank in Charleston, S.C.; and, First Capital Bank in Kingfisher, Okla.
