Friday
WIRE FRAUD CASE: Rita A. Crundwell, 59, of Dixon; charged with wire fraud. Prosecutors say the former Dixon comptroller misappropriated more than $53 million in taxpayer money between 1990 and her arrest in April.
On the docket: Status hearing.
LEE COUNTY
Wednesday
OBSTRUCTION/DOMESTIC BATTERY CASE: Clayton M. Bonnell, 28, of Dixon; charged with aggravated domestic battery, obstructing justice, and misdemeanor domestic battery. Police say Bonnell pushed Suzanne A. Boyer, 38, down the stairs on Jan. 21, but the two of them told police an intruder broke into her home and pushed her down the stairs.
Boyer also is charged with obstructing justice.
On the docket: Preliminary hearing for Bonnell and a status hearing for Boyer.
DOMESTIC BATTERY CASE: Andrew C. Fassler, 40, of Dixon; charged with aggravated domestic battery, a felony. Police say Fassler threw his then-9-year-old son down the stairs and broke his arm on Oct. 1, 2009.
On the docket: Pretrial conference.
MARIJUANA/PARAPHERNALIA CASE: Dustin L. Jones, 30, of Dixon; charged with possession with intent to deliver between 500 and 2,000 grams of marijuana, possession of between 500 and 2,000 grams of marijuana and two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. A raid of his Chicago Avenue home Oct. 21 turned up nearly 3 pounds of marijuana, smoking pipes, and guns, police say.

Thursday
ARMED ROBBERY CASE: Jacob N. Cecil, 33, of Dixon; pleaded guilty in April to armed robbery. Police say Cecil, masked and armed with a sawed-off shotgun, robbed two convenience stores in June 2006. He was sentenced to 60 years in 2008, but was granted a new trial in October.
On the docket: Sentencing. He faces 6 to 60 years in prison.
WHITESIDE COUNTY
Tuesday
SHAKEN BABY CASE: Karyn McCallister, 41, of Sterling; charged with aggravated battery of a child and reckless conduct. Police say McCallister, who ran an unlicensed day care center in her home, shook a 4-month-old girl in February 2009, causing severe head injuries.
On the docket: Hearing on a motion to suppress statements to police.
Wednesday
RAPE/HOME INVASION CASE: David J. Reese, 26, of Rock Falls; charged with home invasion, armed robbery, and aggravated criminal sexual assault. Police say Reese pushed his way into a Rock Falls woman’s home on May 31, demanded money then raped her.
On the docket: Arraignment.
