Plan to eat healthy while traveling
For weight control and good health, I advise my clients to limit their fast-food and restaurant visits to no more than twice a week. After watching my son devour a Denny’s Slamburger, a large chocolate milkshake and french fries, my advice holds true.
First, anything with the word “slam” in the name cannot be good. Second, the Slamburger has 1,030 calories and 59 grams of fat. Add the milkshake and fries, and that put my son’s meal at more than 2,000 calories.
Summer is the time for traveling and vacations. We were at the high school boys state track meet when the Denny’s calorie slam occurred. We had packed some healthy snacks and beverages, but traveling can easily lead to poor food choices and overeating. Here are some healthy eating tips whether traveling for business or pleasure this summer.
