Helen Handley

BARDWELL, Ky. – Helen Handley, 90, of Bardwell, Ky., formerly of Dixon, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Countryside Nursing Home in Bardwell, with her daughter, Mary, and her grandson, David, by her side. She had worked at Butternut, Blackhawk Photo Mount and Dick’s Place, and was a volunteer at KSB Hospital Gift Shop.

She was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Dixon, the daughter of Steve and Lillian (Kline) Sibigtroth. She married William “Charlie” Handley on May 29, 1939. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1978.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Howell of Arlington, Ky.; two sons, Jerry Handley of Perry, Fla., and Frank (Marty) Handley of Dixon; grandchildren, David Nicklaus of Arlington, William “W.D.” and Kaci Handley of Dixon, Dyann Foster of Riverdale, Ga., and Stephanie and Melody Handley, both of Perry; great-grandchildren, Ashlie and Alexis Nicklaus of Dixon, and Shea, Kady and Elisha Foster of Riverdale; and great-great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Victoria, Drake, Ari and Lillie Mae.
