Don’t let a little sweat keep you from working out

I once heard someone say that they didn’t like to exercise because it made them sweat. Yes, sweat can absolutely ruin your make-up and a good hair day, but avoiding exercise is not the answer.

Sweat is a good thing. It’s your body’s air conditioner and an indication that calories are being burned.

Think of sweat as your fat cells shedding tears. Sweat may have other benefits. Some experts believe that perspiration keeps your skin looking its best because it opens and unclogs pores. A German study even suggested that perspiration contains a natural antibiotic that can help kill bacteria, including E. coli and staph, on the skin’s surface.
