Velda M. Allison
ROCHELLE – Velda M. Allison, 94, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012, at her home in Rochelle.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1917, in rural Forreston, the daughter of Harry B. and Ida M. Paul Walb. She married George W. Allison on Oct. 24, 1942, in Rockford. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2000.
Velda loved life, family and friends. She worked as a beautician and was very active with her husband, enjoying golfing and time with friends at the Rochelle Country Club. She was an auxiliary member of VFW Post 3978.
