DIXON – Colleen A. Lange, 85, of Dixon, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Colleen was born Aug. 8, 1926, in Dixon, the daughter of Clay and Loraine (Jones) Bristow. She married J.B. Lange on Dec. 19, 1945. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2012.
Survivors include one son, James (Connie) Lange of Rock Falls; two daughters, Sandra (Kenneth) Lordi of Willow Spring, N.C., and Carol A. (Merle) Smith Jr. of Grand Detour; four grandchildren, Angela Pacheco, Jennifer Kidwell, Adrienne Jaquith and Cami Smith; and seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kennedi, Emily, Zachary, Elizabeth, Katie and Danny.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Jane Mann.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ken Lawson, chaplain at Passages Hospice, officiating. Burial will be at Grand Detour Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
