LANARK – Emily Bush just couldn’t catch a break.

Not only did the Milledgeville junior pitcher miss out on three potential home runs, thanks to a stiff breeze blowing in from right-center field. She didn’t even manage to twirl a no-hitter Saturday morning.

Still, she left the Class 1A Eastland Regional championship with a big smile on her face. She struck out 13 without a walk in a one-hit shutout, leading the Missiles to a 4-0 victory over the Eastland Cougars for Milledgeville’s fifth regional title in 7 years – and second straight over Eastland.
