Clarence A. Pfeifer

DIXON – Clarence A. Pfeifer, 89, of Dixon, died Sunday, May 13, 2012, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. He had farmed in Lee County and worked at Woods Brothers in Oregon, Dixon public schools and Heritage Square Health Care in Dixon for 18 years, before retiring in 2003.

He was born May 22, 1922, in Mendota, the son of Peter and Mildred (Herr) Pfeifer.

He was married to Pearl Piller on April 30, 1976, in Dixon. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Alan Pfeifer, and one daughter, Carol Milens, all of Dixon; grandson, F.J. Milens III of North Carolina; stepdaughter, Judith (Peter) Dougherty of Phoenix; stepson, Leslie (Theresa) Piller of Lee Center; six stepgrandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Pfeifer of Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Darlene Greskiwcz; and a stepson, Robert H. Piller.

There will be no funeral services.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

Arrangements were completed by Jones Funeral Home in Dixon.
