End does not justify means for Rockets’ skipper
ROCK FALLS – It took Rock Falls’ baseball team 14 chances over a span of 1 hour, 37 minutes, but it finally got a hit with a runner in scoring position Wednesday evening.
It came off the bat of catcher Kylen Scott, who deposited the baseball over the fence in dead left for a two-run home run and some insurance in a 12-3 Big Northern West victory at home over Mendota.
The big fly gave the Rockets (19-8, 6-1) a 7-3 lead and perceivably woke up the bats, as they collected hits in their last four at bats with ducks in prime position.
