Harry C. Heppel

STERLING – Harry C. Heppel, 83, of Sterling, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He owned and operated Heppel and Son Plumbing with his father for 35 years, retiring in 1988.

Harry was born Aug. 11, 1928, the son of Paul and Erma (Bauer) Heppel. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He married Mary Ann Meinen on May 16, 1954, in Sterling. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sterling.

Survivors include his wife of Sterling; one daughter, Cheryl Heppel of Dixon; one son, Michael (Mary) Heppel of Sterling; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
