GALESBURG – Agnes M. Shafer Adcock, 90, of Galesburg, died at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg. She was a laborer at the former Admiral Corporation for 22 years, retiring in 1977.

She was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Odin, the daughter of William and Edna Brown Rippy. She married Gerald Shafer in 1941, in Lanark. He preceded her in death in 1967. She married James Adcock in 1969, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was a member of Galesburg First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by a son, Jerry (Sharon) Shafer, and a daughter, Vicki (Richard) Glisan, both of Galesburg; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; step grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
