Rock Falls school board approves teacher contracts
Two building projects delayed, vote on both expected next month
ROCK FALLS – The Rock Falls Elementary School Board Wednesday approved new contracts that include raises for 17 teachers.
Fourteen non-tenured teachers and three teachers who received tenure will see an additional 1.25 percent in their base salaries. The 1-year contracts of the non-tenured teachers are for the 2012-2013 school year.
The board also approved new health insurance premiums that decreased by 4.77 percent. The benefits received under the plan remain the same, Superintendent Dan Arickx said. The new premiums are retroactive to April 1 and effective through March 31, 2013.
