Motorist cited in crash; Dixon woman remains critical
DIXON – An Iowa man was cited Wednesday for apparently blowing through a stop sign at the intersection of West Third Street and College Avenue and hitting a Dixon woman’s car.
The accident happened about 8:22 a.m. Tuesday.
The woman, Nadine Cecchetti, 79, still was in critical condition at Rockford Memorial Hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Ean Caskye, 30, was eastbound on West Third in a 1998 Dodge Ram that was pulling a fifth-wheel trailer when he hit Cecchetti, who was northbound on College.
Caskye, who was not injured, was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
