Annual Lioness dinner/auction set

DIXON – The Dixon Lioness Club’s annual spring dinner and Chinese auction will be Tuesday at the Dixon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, 1560 Franklin Grove Road. 

A beef stroganoff meal will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The auction drawing begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available from any Lioness or at the door. The cost is $5 for the meal; and $1 for six auction tickets or $5 for 20.

A Chinese auction is a combination of a raffle and an auction. Each prize will have a ticket hat next to it for bidding. One ticket will be drawn from each of the hats.

Past items for bid, donated by Lionesses, have included tools, bath and beauty supplies, lawn ornaments, cookware, books, toys and home decor. 

Profits from Lioness fundraisers are donated to local agencies helping the hearing and vision impaired.
