Goodbye and good riddance
Thank goodness we won’t have to listen to another Rod Blagojevich filibuster for another decade. That one last week was more than enough.
There was plenty of eye-rolling from the time Blagojevich announced he would make one final statement prior to entering federal prison. A few people might have thought it would be a changed Blagojevich ready to admit his mistakes and accept responsibility for his actions. Most probably figured it would be more of the old Blago, and they were not disappointed.
It started with the non-media crowd that gathered outside Blagojevich’s home. Apparently, we were supposed to view this as a spontaneous outpouring of people lending support to their beloved ex-governor.
