Vote Smiddy for 71st House

I am proudly announcing my endorsement of Mike Smiddy for state representative of the 71st District.

Mike Smiddy has a phenomenal background in public services. He worked for U.S. Rep. Lane Evans for 8 years. Because of his work with Congressman Evans, he understands the importance of public service and standing up for those who can’t stand up for themselves.

Mike has continued his public service as he is currently employed at the Illinois Department of Corrections in East Moline.

Mike will fight for better jobs in our area, improve the quality of our schools, and secure our retirement. Mike has ideas on strong economic development and job retention, maintaining workers’ rights, and creating sound fiscal policies to help bring down the state’s rising budget.

What also is important to Mike should be important to all of us, which is a strong educational system to ensure the best education for the state of Illinois.
