MILLEDGEVILLE – Fire from a wood burner stovepipe caused the blaze at a rural house Friday night, village Fire Chief David Folk said Tuesday.

About six fire departments responded to 17553 Barclay Road around 5:45 p.m. Friday. Owner Charles Uhing and his son-in-law were home at the time; no one was injured.

The fire damaged an upstairs bedroom and the attic. Uhling has insurance, Folk said.
