Paw Paw FFA auction, dinner set

PAW PAW – The Paw Paw High School Future Farmers of America will be holding an auction and dinner March 3 at the high school, 511 Chapman St.

Food will be served at 5 p.m.

The cost is $7 for adults and $2 for children. The adult meal will include a rib eye or butterfly pork chop sandwich, baked beans, potato salad, homemade dessert and a drink.

The kids meal will include a hot dog, chips, dessert and drink.

There will be a silent auction at 5 p.m. and a live auction at 6:30 p.m. Child care will be provided for children from infant to fourth grade.

FFA members and alumni are accepting donations for the auction. Items needed are gift certificates, farm and shop equipment supplies, home and personal items and sports memorabilia and tickets.

Wise saw collapse in support

Last week, Sterling Alderwoman Amy Viering attended her last meeting as a city official. She gave the usual praise one hears at such departures. But one compliment stuck out. At the end of her speech, she turned to City Administrator Scott Shumard and said, "You're awesome."
