Gary E. Spurr

STERLING – Gary E. Spurr, 59, of Sterling, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Gary was born Sept. 30, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Bernard and Elsie (Farmer) Spurr.

Survivors include his mother of Sterling; two daughters, Cynthia S. Spurr of Rock Falls and Dawn Spurr of Phoenix; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Spurr; and his sister, Diana Ackland.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling.

A memorial fund has been established.
