Schools offer free concert Sunday

DIXON – The Reagan Middle School Patriot Band and the Dixon High School Concert Band will give a free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at the high school auditorium, 315 Lincoln Statue Drive.

The middle school band will perform “American Folksong” by Michael Sweeney; “The Thunderer” by John Philip Sousa; “Mystic River Fantasy” by James Swearingen; and “Meteorock” by John Caponegro.

The high school band will perform “Visions of Flight” by Robert Sheldon, “Variations on a Korean Folksong” by John Barnes Chance and “The Walking Frog” by Karl L. King. Both bands will perform “Band-O-Rama” by Larry Clark and “The Rites of Tamburo” by Robert Smith.
