SPRINGFIELD (AP) — Illinois and local officials will host a discussion next week of job opportunities for the disabled in the Knox and Warren county areas.

Employers representing trades, retail, veterinary services and government programs will speak. It will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at Monmouth Roseville High School in Monmouth.

Speakers will discuss job opportunities and the training necessary to gain employment.

It is hosted by the Illinois Department of Human Services' Division of Rehabilitation Services and the Knox-Warren Transition Planning Committee.

The vocational rehabilitation program assists people with disabilities in finding work. Staff members provide guidance and counseling and arrange for training and other needs.
