Casey’s General Store in Sterling delivers
STERLING – Casey’s General Store, 2806 W. Fourth St., is now delivering food.
The convenience store has been delivering pizza, subs, wraps, breadsticks and 2-liter bottles of soda since Feb. 1, manager Melonie Stahl said.
The delivery area extends to Emerson, Como, Lynn Boulevard and Science Ridge Road. It does not deliver to Rock Falls, she said.
Delivery is available from 4:30 to 10 p.m. 7 days a week. Customers must place an order of at least $10, and there’s a $2 delivery fee.
The Morrison Casey’s started delivering in November.
The company has started delivery at 76 stores since last February, Senior Vice President Bill Walljasper said.
Not all stores will deliver – the chain is feeling out where it will work, Walljasper said.
Stores that are close to colleges are being considered first, as are stores that will not “cannibalize” other Casey’s, he said.
